PURPOSE: For some faculty, the creation of, and participation in, artistic productions and performances are central components of their scholarly work. Thus, OVPR provides funds to support costs associated with these activities. The intention is to support the professional growth and development of the faculty member rather than provide general support for the arts or provide training experiences for students.
ELIGIBILITY: Continuing instructional faculty, librarians, curators, or archivists may apply, but special attention will be given to those faculty in the Schools of Art and Design, Music, and the College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Please use the OVPR Faculty Grants and Awards Program application form. Awards will range from $2,000 to $15,000. It is expected that other funds will complement the award. A contribution of 33% of the total project cost is required from the faculty applicant's school or college.
DEADLINES: the 15th of February, April, June, August, October or December. Notification of funding decisions is made within 8 weeks of the receipt of the application in OVPR. Note: all signatures are required before processing begins. Summer months may mean delays. Consultation with OVPR is advised.
