The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program is focused primarily on individual research accomplishments and promise, but evidence of excellence in teaching is also expected. The Foundation seeks applicants who demonstrate leadership in research and education. Nominations must provide compelling evidence of the advance of important knowledge in the chemical sciences by the nominee. Further, the nominee will be assessed with respect to dedication, contributions, and innovations in education in the chemical sciences.
Nominees must hold a full-time tenure-track academic appointment and are normally expected to be within the first five years of their independent academic careers. The University of Michigan is allowed to nominate only one faculty member for this award.
