Whitaker Foundation Special Opportunity Awards in Biomedical Engineering support the development of quality programs that substantially enhance the field of biomedical engineering. The emphasis is on education, rather than on solving specific research problems. Institutions may submit two preliminary applications.

Deadline for preliminary applications to the Foundation is March 15.
