Division of Research Development and Administration support related to externally sponsored projects

Cost-Sharing on Research Proposals

Funds are available for cost-sharing contributions for sponsored projects when this is required by the sponsor. Please refer to A Brief Synopsis of Cost-Sharing Requirements of Major Research Sponsors, for further information.

Cost sharing of direct costs up to a $10,000 should be addressed by the department or school/college. Most cost-sharing requirements are met through salaries and fringe benefits provided by the applicant's unit.

Requests for University cost sharing over $10,000 should be submitted well in advance to the Vice President for Research for review. Such requests are reviewed by OVPR and DRDA on a competitive basis. See the OVPR Faculty Grants and Awards program for more information.
