OVPR Human Research Initiative

The Office of the Vice President for Research is leading a campus initiative to substantially improve the administration and approval of projects and protocols involving human volunteers. This initiative involves rethinking the processes for approval of human research, developing new electronic administrative systems to support these processes, and establishing a comprehensive instructional curriculum for all individuals involved in human research.

Overseeing the initiative is the Human Research Coordinating Council (HRCC). The HRCC membership is as follows:
