Contact Sharyn I. Sivyer, the Facility Security Officer, ssivyer@umich.edu, for further information regarding security clearances, classified document control, foreign visitor information, security inspections, and so forth. The University limits personnel security clearances to those required for the Facility Clearance process and to individuals whose performance of tasks or services is essential to the fulfillment of a classified contract. Application for a security clearance must be processed by the Facility Security Officer. The Facility Security Officer is also responsible for processing the forms and related documentation for the Defense Technical Information Center and the Defense Logistics Agency and is the recipient and custodian for all relevant information from these agencies.
